Hi Guys,

RD 10/15 Still no approvel yet.

Went for EAD extension at Boston INS. Got Approved for another year.

No issues extending EAD in Boston.

I am planning to go to boston for EAD extention and AP very soon.
What time did you get there and how long did it take to get the EAD.

Can someone live in NJ go to Boston INS to renew EAD?

Can someone live in NJ go to Boston INS to renew EAD? Is there a geographic restriction? Please advise. Thanks.

I was there at 7:30 in the morning and could only leave at around 12:30 p.m. I know people who have done it in a couple of hours, so it's entirely your luck.

You can go to Boston INS only if you live in MA or NH. Even VT, ME and CT are not allowed. So NJ is out of question. They ask to see address proof, like driver's license.

A friend of mine from New York with New York driver's license tried her luck in Boston INS office with walk-in to get her EAD and she was not allowed. This incidence took place a few weeks ago. As soon as the officer saw her New York driver's licence, he/she didn't let my friend in for walk-in EAD citing jurisdiction problem.

Did they gave you renewed card in Boston then n there r they will be sending you a letter n then u need to go n get it...In Hartford, CT they took the papers n said..once we receive the letter from INS office we need to go ther n take the photo n get the cards

Thanks for the update...in Hartford, CT they are not giving it instantly...We dont know why it is different...
