Finally, Finally, Finally I can say this...
Our GC's have been approved - after more than 2 years since filing I-485. Just now I received four e-mails from USCIS.
This approval has come after a long and frustrating 26 months of wait. I was beginning to lose my sanity and the reality is yet to sink in. These forums along with all it's founders, members and moderators have been a great source of information in addition to being tremendous moral support through this ordeal. Thank you all.
Here are more details:
Aug 2002: I-485, EAD1, AP1
Sep 2002: FP1 - 09/24/02; FP1 results received 09/27/02
Dec 2002: Name check completed
Jul 2003: EAD2, AP2
Nov 2003: Moved. Filed AR-11, received address change confirmation from USCIS
Dec 2003: LUD changes - for address change but message still that of FP1
Jun 2003: Everyone else from my company approved - we all filed at the same time.
Jun 2004: EAD3, AP3
Jul 2004: Contacted Congresswoman's Office: 07/09/04 - asked for help in getting FP2
Jul 2004: Received FP2 notification on 07/31/04. Scheduled for 09/10/2004
Aug 2004: Early FP2 on 08/03/04
Sep 2004: Faxed Name check request on 09/02/04, received e-mail reply on 09/18/04
Sep 2004: LUD changed 09/13/04, 09/14/04 - FP2 results but message still that of FP1
Sep 2004: Initiated case inquiry for Self on 09/23/04
Oct 2004: Inquiry Response 10/05/04. Didn't receive. Probably went to old address.
Oct 2004: Initiated case inquiry for wife on 10/12/04
Oct 2004: Both Cases approved on 10/13/04
EB3, PA
No RFE, No Job change.
