Yesterday, senator's office called me to say that both mine and spouse's case approved on 02/07/03.

Talked to IIO just now. He said both mine and spouse's case have been approved on 02/07/03 and notices have been mailed on that day.

What a relief!!!

Thank you everyone for your support and good luck to everybody!!!

Congrats!! Enjoy...

One question that I hope you don't mind answering is:

1) How do you go about contacting the Senator? I am thinking of doing that.
2) When you call NSC, which option did you select? I am always talking to the same IIO (I recognize the voice) and she won't tell me anything. Did you select option 2?

Thanks,
BPBJHL042002.

Congrats NSC_485 wait

Mine is Aug 2001 RD, replied for RFe, waiting for approval. Do you believe, contacting Senator would expedite things.

Thanks

I first contacted Senator's office in Aug-Sept'02. They might not have been able to expedite my case, but at least have been very helpful and gave accurate information.
IIO's have most of the time given me worng and incorrect information. In Sept'02 one IIO told me that they were waiting to connect my I-140 and could still take one more year. I called Senator's office, and they found that I was being issued an RFE. They said that I140 thing is crap! After two weeks the online message changed and I got an RFE in October 02.

My experience with them has been very good so far. I do not know about others and others can post their experineces too. In fact, the case worker that I am working with is very nice wants a copy of my Approval notice to track when I get the real card, cos he thinks that is a lengthy process too.

Anyway, contact senator if you feel comfortable.

BPBJHL042002: To answer your questions:

Check your state's website to find out who are the US senators. I am from Michigan and there are two US senators. I sent a detailed email to one of the senators first, and in 2-3 weeks their office contacted and I was assigned a case worker. From then on he updated me on my case, and I stopped calling IIO's since.

Hope this helps.
Good luck to all of you!!!
