RD 01/00 I-485 Approved

Hi All,

I checked AVM this morning and heard "This case has been approved" for both
myself and my wife.

PD 03/99; RD 12/99; ND 01/00; FP 04/01; No RFE; AD 07/13/01; EB-??? India.

Even though my I-140 is approved as EB-2(Having MS from U.S) my I-485 was reviewed and was on shelf. There is no Company name change. No RFE.

Sudher, from your mail I get an impression that "Review" is a process that prolongs the case and requires any scruitny. Is it correct? If so, then please elaborate on it. I would appreciate it.

Hi,

When I called IIO 2 months back the IIO said my case is reviewed by an officer and every thing seems fine. I asked her when can I get an answer from them. She said for some reason my application is on shelf after the IIO reviewed/processed. She told me it could be either "visa hold", or "it requires another officer\'s review". She wasn\'t sure what it is. If INS mistakenly thought my case as EB-3 I should get approval by this month, since EB-3 India is current. I called IIO on 07/03, and heard my case had been pulled out of shelf and assigned back to an officer, then I assumed my case was on hold for "visa availability"(INS mess!).

Luckily no RFE.
