I485 Gurus,
As per Rupnet(VSC) , Dec. has approx. 67 % of filers when compared to Oct. and Nov. 2001 . Now does that mean that at the rate at which BCIS is going now (better than Oct and Nov.), we should see Dec. completed by June . Maybe then the Jan RD's could start as early as July . Am I way off target (once again I do understand that it is only based on present conditions and the situation might change tomorrow)

My thoughts

Sorry if this disappoints you... But if there are less number of filers for a month, BCIS will probably reduce staff working on 485 ajudications.

I don't agree. I think BCIS would like to make some progress on the I-485 backlog, at least to reduce it to less than 1 year. Why else would VCS just hire 100 new adjudicators?

How do you know for a fact that BSIC has 100 new adjudicators? I have read this many times on here, but never a genuine source of this info. If you have any link, please post it.

In the past, INS/BCIS has done exactly what GodHelpUsGC said.

Thanks.

laddi

Number of Filers

One more thing:
Number of filers is increasing as people are getting approved. One cannot rely on number of filers until a month is completelly approved.
I've been monitoring the Rupnet for almost a year.

Therefore by the end of December number of approvals will be much larger that is is today.

100 new adjudicators

I do not deal in unfounded rumours. Here is the quote from the April 11 newsletter of murthy.com

Though much of the situation appears bleak, there may be help with staffing in the near future. The Vermont Service Center has reported that they will have an additional 100 adjudicators onboard in the next few months. These examiners will replace those who have been lost to security functions. Most other Service Centers are also expected to obtain additional examiners to help process petitions and applications.
