Ran I-485 script and my observations

Dear all,

Today I found some free time for fun with TSC I-485 script.

My RD and ND for I-485 is July 5, 2002 (please don't ask why my RD is same as ND).

I ran script for about 200 cases around my case. Followings are my observation.

1. Out of 200 cases I ran script for, there are only 9 cases for AOS

2. Most of the cases were I-765 some got approved within one and half month and some are still pending and some got denied
or RFEd etc.

3. There were numerous (many many) TPS cases

4. There were many- I-130 cases

5. Lots of them are OS155 A cases (I think renewal of green card)

I can say following thing for sure.

1. TSC mail room being far away from processing center is a VERY BIG factor behind our miseries.

2. 50% workload TSC has is for EAD and green card renewal, what this means is that there is far less load for I-485, of course least priority for man power allocation

(New fillers if you can survive without EAD don't apply for it)

3. Mail room contractor does lots of mess right from beginning and this is randomness in TSC processing pattern

4. Lots of EAD cases needed RFE., therefore new fillers don't be in hurry submit all papers so that man power work hours can be saved for better use of I-485 cases.

5. Lots of TPS cases got transferred to local office and some got even denied. I don't know much about TPS (I think these are asylum cases), I can’t comment on that.

6. If you don't need to call IIO please don't call. This is my fourth year in USA and right from beginning one or other application is pending with TSC but I have never called any IIO.

CALLING IIO is not a fun you like to do.

7. Out of 9 I-485 cases received on July 5, 2002, two are transferred to local service centers.

I hope soon they may take I-485 as a priority load.

Thanks to you all,

Good luck

KP

you may be correct.

You may be correct.
TSC is slow and getting slower. I believe they will have to resolve this problem one day or the other. May b e taking help of pther service centres is a way to go.

Hey,

I ran the script for ND around Jun 2001 to Sep 2001.

My Case : RD:06/01/01
ND:08/25/01

Found out that one fourth of the cases have been approved. Most of this cases have later RD than mine. (I am assuming that the case number is assigned sequentially)

3 of them rejected already!!!!

Rest received/resumed!!!

plasticcard, you said :

"Found out that one fourth of the cases have been approved. "

What are dates of approval. Are they all before Nov '02?

What is date of the last approval?

April 2002

Yes, all of them except one case were on or before April 2002.

One of them was approved on August 2002.

TSC's Stochastic idiosyncratic processing...

Well, I really don't think if we can notice any palpable pattern in the manner applications are adjudicated.

I did a quick analysis on a particular date in August 2002. While, SRC-02-XXX-XX132 is showing default message of 990-999 days, the next immediate I-485 application of SRC-02-XXX-XX138 (merely 6 numbers following the previous one) was adjudicated on November 2002, within a period of 110 days. ( Don't ask me, how they could adjudicate so fast after the finger-printing, possibly taken in September 2002 for that applicant). Thinking, that there is something interesting there, I checked for the very next I-485 application type, and was let down to see the same default message of 990-999 days.

Therefore, I am not sure, if some "internal raffle" is going on, where an IIO would pick up one of the application from the application knapsack and then just get it done by the COB and then throw the entire knapsack for weeks, months, and possibly years too. I don't know. Confusing.

However, the guy who got adjudicated within 110 days would now be in Cloud Nine, whereas the guys just previous and after this guy would feel as though they are in the netherworld gnashing their teeth and throwing a few expletives at the TSC's way.

All AOS cases are not employment based. Some of them may be priority cases (like ageout cases).

plasticard,

Can you please post more details regarding the total number of cases and their approval dates? For example,

(1) total number of I485 cases between 6/01-9/01
(2) how may approved, how many FP/Resumed, etc.
(3) number of cases approved
(a) before 6/02
(b) between 6/02 - 12/02
(c) between 1/03 - 4/03
(4) when was the last one approved.

Thanks.

Summary

Guys,

post your details here if you like so info can be shared :

Example:

SRC : SRC
SRC2 :02-250
FROM :12345
TO :67890

Feel free to Make improvements/modifications to it.

I think total number of I-485 cases pending in TSC are not that large. Our only problem is that TSC doesn't want to work on AOS cases.

Way back TSC approved VISA for terrorsist involved in 9/11 attacks including one AOS case (though not very clear but I think it also happened in TSC). It is because of TSC malpractices INS no longer exists and BCIS is very careful. Since most of the bad things happened at TSC that is why only guys at TSC are suffering. TSC is complete mess.

Any body has idea how many I-485 cases are pending in TSC ?

Good luck to you all
