Hey Rajiv and all other gurus,
Need a big big favor. Here is my story.
- I am on f1 and wife on h1
- Applied to NSC on Aug 13th. No receipt, no EAD, no AP
- I have been trying everything possible to get the AP. Called up the
numbers and faxed NSC a copy.
- Went to infopass, and after 3 days finally they agreed to give me an
AP for 30 days
- i paid the fees ( 305$) and also a new form. The AP got approved by
the local office but the system wont take it coz I dont have a Alien
Number.
- Bottom line is that I cant do anything without that receipt.
As you guys can guess, with a genuine emergency I need to travel to
India no matter what happens to my application. Here are my questions.
1: I have a stamped f1, can i come back on f1 even if the that means i
abandon my AOS? I really dont mind giving up the application as long as I come back.
2: If I get entered in the system when i am in India, will that create
a problem at the port of entry
3: If I am not in the system by the time I come back,do i have a duty
to disclose at the POE?
4: Is h4 an option? Some how I think in my case it will be very
difficult to make the Mumbai embassy people understand my whole case.
