RA (receipt of Application)

Hi every body,
I'm kind of new with all this.. I'm struggling to understand. I need a couple of answers. What's FIFO?
I got a Receipt of Application in Oct. 2004 from the Virgina Employment Commission.
Date 10/14/2004
Case No. 04463407
What next?
I tried to find the status of my case on the link provided here on this site. My case number was not listed along with cca. 80.000 other cases. What I'm saying is DOL cases from 0419... up to 0450... are not listed yet.
So, where exactly am I in the process?
What am I to expect next?
Please advise.
Thanks.

FIFO = First In First Out
You have applied on 10/14/2004.. that is your PD.
The case number you have is SWA case number which is not important anymore

All cases currently have been shipped to BEC, being from VA, your case should be at BEC (backlog reduction center / backlog processing center), once they enter your case in their database you will receive 45 day notice letter (CRNL) with your ETA case number... All 300000 cases in BEC will be processed in FIFO & you will get approval within next 24 to 30 months.

Hi gp111,
I could not find the answer I am looking for after I scanned this whole thread, not even sure if I am asking you in the right thread. Out of 300,000 cases shipped to 2 backlog elimination centers, 1 center should have gotton 150,000 cases. Out of this 150,000 cases, how many cases are SWA and how many are regional cases. I know that Zany spent extensive amount of time, and come up with what he thinks, but his analysis is purely based to RIR cases. It doesn't include the NON RIR cases, and I will really appreciate any input from you. Thank You Sir.

From the Access Data Files available at www.flcdatacenter.com
Pending Regional RIR cases : around 55K
Pending Regional Non RIR cases: around 33K
There will be some plus & minus to this number as the data base is only updated till Sept-04. Some of the Regional Cases should have been processed by SF, NY, BO & other DOLs by now. Also SWAs ware working on some opened cases till march end so those cases might have beed added to this.

Thanks for your prompt answer. I appreciate your time.
Is there any hope for the BEC-s to process cases faster than 24-30 mths?
What about the new computerized system they're trying to use? Is it worth re-applying according to the last changes they made?
Do you think the processing would be less laborious?

Q: Eb-1,2,3= ?

Hi everybody,

I am trying to keep up with the information I find poated here. I feel stuck.
What is EB-1, EB-2, EB-3?
Please can someone explain?
Can somebody tell me what SESA stands for? I have a vague Idea... not clear..
I have recently read in the VA SESA thread that VA is currently processing cases filed in March 2001. Can it be possible? 2001????
How many cases do they process a month?
