I-485, Application To Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

Number of Pages: 11

Edition Date: 4/1/06. 10/26/05, 4/22/05 versions also accepted.

Fee: $325 plus $70 biometrics services fee if you are 14 years of age or older. If you are under 14 years of age, the fee is $225 with no biometric services fee. If you are 79 years of age or older, the fee is $325 with no biometrics services fee.

Is that $70 per person or just flat $70?

On form G-325A Biographic Info, all the way at the bottom is a question:
This form is submitted in connection with application for:

1. Naturalization 2. Status as Permanent Resident
3. Other (specify)

I am the USC which one should I be checking?

If we are filing forms I485, I130, I693, G-325A and I864 how much should we be sending in? We have it at $325 + $70 + $190 = $585

.

It should be $70 "for any individual who is required to have biometric information captured in connection with an application." You, as a USC, will not need to have biometric information captured, if that is what you are wondering.

Check "other" on your G-325A and write something like "I-485 for spouse" next to the checkbox. I do not have my forms in front of me, so I do not recall the exact phrase I wrote, but something along that line should be fine.

Right. I would write two separate checks: $395 attached to I-485 and $190 attached to I-130. No staples!

you should check other then beside it put spouse's I-485

thats what my usc hubby has on his and our attorney did ours

I am glad you asked that question

I m so happy i saw this post because I put the wrong thing for my husband and he is the citizen. Now my question is, I am the one adjusting and I am not in status so for my G325A do i check the box "Status as a permanent resident"? Thank you.

when I and my wife filed the G325A, I checked "other", then I wrote, I-130 Petition for Relative in both G325A. I am a USC to sponsor my wife thou.

I think the COnsular officer did change something on the I-130 in that section. But I did not remember what he changed.

Correct. And, your husband would check the box "Other", as was suggested above, and write "I-485 for spouse".
