Do you need a travel document to enter Canada by air, even if you are carrying a GC.
I don't have NP and did not receive RTD. I have to travel to Canada and I have take a flight. any suggestions or any experience.
Why not go the Canadian consulate embassy website, or even visit their offices in your respective location and read their rules of admission into Canada?
PS: I would think you would need some kind of legally issued document to support your entry. I seem to remember reading that they are now very particular about their admission criteria. Please verify with the Canadian Government for accurate information.

I did that less than a month ago, they'll ask for your passport but at the end they will let you in. Whe I got Toronto, was no that bad, was scarier when I was flying back to US, but finally they let me in. Is a pain but I did it.
Wonderful experience travelling to Canada by air. I verified with Canadian embassy about the requierments entering Canada without a passport or a travel document. You don't need any of them if you are a LPR of US but airlines want to verify LPR or US citizenship. No problems at Canadian immigration and no problems at US immigration while coming back routine questions were asked like how long stayed out of US and anything to declare for customs.
If you coming to Canada from third country means other than US then deffinately need a passport or a travel document.
