quick question please help

I am in the final stages of my green card process and I have a question regarding H1B:

3 years back I used to work for company A on H1B. Company B applied for H1B for me but I did not join comany B till 3 months after they got my H1B during that time I was working for company A on my original H1B. Is that an issue or a problem? My lawyer said there is nothing wrong with that and it is 100% legal. I just want to double check and to see if anybody can confirm that.

clarification

Hi Hathwar,

A little clarification regarding my question: Company B got my H1B approved but I did not join this company till after 3 months from the day they got my H1B. During these 3 months I was working with company A on another H1B. The question is taht was I in legal status during these 3 months? My lawyer said yes and this is normal since I was always working on H1B but I wanted to confirm.
