Quick question on I-90

Gurus:

Could anyone please let me know what does it mean by
"commuter" & "non-commuter" status mentioned in the I-90 form?

I got PR thru EB category and am from India so I guess I am not a conditional
permenant resident; but, what is commuter and/or non-commuter status?

Gurus please throw some light...

i 90 commuter

commuter status is given to a person working for u.s company abroad so
they can stay abroad but they wont loose thier lpr status even if they dont
stay in u.s,all their years abroad are counted as residing in u.s when they
apply for citizenship
 
Gurus, your help please.

Hi:

My wife is going to visit India due to a death in her family. She is taking
her passport with I551 stamp, her DL & SSN card (her physical
green card hasn't yet arrived). Will these docs be okay for her to
leave and return back to US?

Please let me know as early as you can as she is leaving in the next day
or two.
