quick question in regards to AP

Hello gurus

My wife and I went for an interview yesterday and application is pending a background check.

We wanted to travel and see her parents, but now the only viable option is to apply for AP.

For those of you who have gone through the process, I wanted to know how long is the AP good for and can I have multiple re-entries to the country.

My wife's situation is that her H1-B expired but applied for AOS one month before it expired. Also she no longer has her I-94 card, because the immigration officer took it out of her passport in the day of the interview.

Could anyone comment on the safety on travelling with an AP and any danger on denying re-entry

For those of you who have gone through the process, I wanted to know how long is the AP good for and can I have multiple re-entries to the country.

An AP is good for one (1) year from the date of approval. It can be issued for single re-entry or multiple re-entries, depending on which box you select in Part 7, Item 1 of form I-131. Good luck!
