I've recently found an employer who might be willing to help me with a employer sponsored immigration visa.
We agreed that I'd send him a info packet with what they need to do on their hand.
Now, sitting here reading through things again, it mentions a labor certification.
Is this something I need to have approved before they file the I-140, or is it something the employer files or how does it work?
I've read on several different sites, one say that basically what I need is to find an employer who is willing to apply for me and just wait.
Another mentions that I need the labor certification first, and then they can file the I-140.
And the third isn't really clear on any of it.
So needless to say, I'm getting a bit confused.
Do I file for the labor certification? Do they? Do I need it or not?
How long does it take to get denied / approved ?
