Quick question about Biometrics

I finally got the approval notice today. It says I need to schedule the Biometrics appointment etc.

I have also made an appointment for my passport stamping tommorrow at SF.

So now the question is

Does the SF office also take the Biometrics when I am there to do the stamping ? If so can someone shed some experience on this ? That will be great !!

Cheers,

my spouse had to get the biometrics done, and we made an appointment for that.. the imm officer stamped the ppt after taking the FPs and collecting the photos... so u shud be able to do both..

By the way you said Collecting the photos ? What does that mean ? Don't they take pictures ? Or are we supposed to provide them pictures from Costco or something ?

its pretty low tech at the imm office.. bear in mind this wont be the application service center where u have the fp taking machine and the camera hooked up to capture ur photo etc..
ur appt is most probably at the local office with an imm officer. he/she is gonna take ur fp on a card, and collect photos from u for the card etc. check the appt notice which infopass gave out...
good luck.

See the other threads on the issue of biometric. In my
opinion, you should go for the biometric first (at an ASC).
Once your biometric is done, you should get your physical
card within 7-10 days. There is no need for passport
stamping, unless you are planning to travel withing a
weeks time.
