Hi

I got my PR card approved in Oct-2003 & I had also gone to Canada to get my SIN card.During that time my ex-wife did n't receive her card due to some photo problems. My PR card is valid till Nov-2008,so in any conditions to maintain it, I have to go to Canda by Nov-2006 & stay there for 2 years.

I got divorced in Dec 2004 after which my ex-wife went to Canada on her own & applied for her PR card ,I heard that now she is all settled there .I now plan to get married in Dec-2005 & want to apply for my wife, so that if we need to go in Nov-2006 , we go together. My questions are

1) Whats the process of applying for my wife ?
2) How much time does it take ?
3) Will she get the same validity on her PR card once she gets it ?

Gurus please respond , thanks in advance

Thanks

As a PR to sponsor your wife you will have to return to Canada and then sponsor her. She will not be able to accompany you unless she can get a visitor visa which, given the circumstances, will most probably be rejected.

1) Whats the process of applying for my wife ?
Please visit the following website and download the Guide to get a complete idea about the whole process of sponsoring your wife.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/fc.html

2) How much time does it take ?
Depends which country your wife lives in. You can check the time it takes from the official CIC website www.cic.gc.ca

3) Will she get the same validity on her PR card once she gets it ?
Her PR will be valid for 5 years from the day she enters Canada as PR.
