Questions regarding the DV lottery :-)

Hi,

My fiance won the DV-2014, we both entered the lottery, eventually she won.

my questions are the following:

1. Does she need to list me as her future spouse(we 're getting married in September) or something else?

2. Do we need as an alternative to get married as soon as possible and include notification of these changes by sending an updated Form DS-230?

3. she is currently studying in a college, and she will graduate in a year. does she need to live her college for the US or she need to make a formal request or special form?

i hav a big confusion..i am from nepal bt i have been living at london for 3 years...I am selected for dv 2014..so can i do my process from london or i have to go back to Nepal??Can i put the london Embassy in form for my nearest Embassy??
Furthermore,do i have to get any letter fom friend or relatives staying at usa?

please help me...

1) You can't be termed as a "future spouse" on the DV because legally it means you are not married. The DV rules state that if one spouse is selected then the other spouse is automatically eligible as a dependant of the former. What I recommend is you have a civil marriage to obtain the legal/court/civil marriage certificate and then include the dependant on your form(s). Also cross-check the rules for spouses on the DV site to be sure if you require a separate form or not for the dependant before you send the form(s) in.

2) Read above - do a civil marriage to obtain the marriage certificate.

3) I had a friend in 2000 who was selected in the DV but was in his final year at university and he put in a request to complete his education before leaving for America and it was granted. Check with the KCC on this and also the regulations.

You can choose to have your interview in London (look at the section of the form where it says US Consulate or Embassy where you would like to have your interview).

If you have applied as a single applicant and you have a friend or relative in the US then ask them to provide you with an I-134 Affidavit of Support form (this is available on the USCIS site).

This is mandatory for single applicant DV selectees if you are going to depend on someone else to provide you with lodging and some form of financial support. If you have adequate finances then you do not really need an I-134 form however it is recommended to take it with you to the interview nonetheless.
