Questions regarding after K-1...most efficient timeline

Hello,

My Singaporean fiancee will be arriving 7/28 on a K-1 visa. :-) It was a long wait, but the day has finally arrived. Our next objective will be to get her employment authorization in the U.S.A.

Here's the timeline that I have in my head for the additional paperwork, but would highly appreciate any feedback / input if this makes sense or not. Any and all feedback is appreciated. In particular, I am confused as to when to apply for the I-765 and I-485

1. She arrives 7/28 (I am California)
2. Go to SSN office 7/29 (maybe a bit too early, since she might not be in their system?), and go ahead and apply for her SSN card under her first and last name to speed up the whole process. We don't have to be married to get her a SSN card, right? Also, unsure if we should wait to do this until AFTER we get married, so we won't have to change her last name after we get married (not mandatory, of course).
3. Get married on 8/8
4. Once SSN card is received, go get driver's license
5. Apply for right to work (I-765, I believe it is) - Can this be done sooner? Do we even have to do this in order for her to be able to work? How long does this normally take in your experience?
6. Apply for permanent residency status (I-485) - This one I need help on.

Is this what you would do? Is this the most efficient order for doing things?

Thanks again,
Doug

Wow....66 views and not a single opinion or feedback. Even some guidance on where to find the info would've been appreciated. :(

1-4 seems right to me. Makes no difference whether you are married or not for youre ssn application- I went AFTER I was married (though this is only because I married quickly after I arrived and had to wait til I was in the system)- though seeing as I hadnt recieved my marriage certificate, I had to apply in my maiden name anyway.
You can apply for work (EAD) before AOS, though if you do, I think it costs $340. If you apply for your EAD at the same time as AOS (in the same packet), then your EAD (and AP if you want to apply for that as well) are all included in the AOS costs of $1010 (the cost of AOS does not go down if you file EAD and AP separately, therefore its more expensive not to apply for them all at the same time).
Unless you have the EAD stamped in your passport (or on your I-94) that you would have got at the POE, then you are not allowed to work until you recieve EAD. Each persons timeline for receipt of EAD varies, so be prepared to wait 3-5 months to recieve it. Of course, it could be less (a friend of mine got hers in 67 days), though another one of my friends had to wait 156 days.

Hello,
The only proof I have of is meeting are two, similar, photos. Is that not enough? I don't have my airline boarding passes etc. saved. I do have several emails (at least 1/day for 8 months) and phone calls (about the same).
