Hello all,,

My case got approved on 11/03/03. Am getting it stamped on 11/14 ( friday as mentioned on the notice letter). Could some one please send me the link to stamping process at NYC fedral plaza. what time to go and how long it takes for the over all process.


2nd question.

Is it ok to convert to 1099 in a month or so.?

Well don't panic on seeing a longer line along the street..That's a general queue...To the left of the long queue is the queue for you[with appointment] and that's short...but be early...730am or so..

Just go to room 800....Dont ever go to 3rd Floor..and they wud guide u to 8th floor...!!

SSN office is in the same building..

Hello all

I need to apply for my wife's emergency AP. Can we go to local INS office (Fedral plaza nyc) and request for it. we have her AP receipt which was received by BCIS on OCT8th. If anyone on this forum has similar situation or know more about it, Can you please share /suggest what we can do.

if you case is already approved

why don't you go before the scheduled date and request either to issue AP or stamp passport . I am sure they can't issue you AP, they will stamp passport and you are good.


Just keep a valid( emergency) reason ready , if possible any supporting doc to show..

It's not for me.

It's for my wife cause her I-485 case is not approved yet and we had also applied AP for her. We just have the AP receipt saying they received it on oct 8th. Am not sure how long it would take to get it approved. Now that her mom is not feeling well she wanted to go try with the local INS with the AP receipt to see she can get it.
