Dear Freinds and Experts,
Happy New Year!
I am posting this message on behalf of my friend. She has just received her oath letter (San Jose, Interview: Nov. 23) (By the way, my interview date is Nov. 29, but name check is pending). In the letter, the following items are checked and she needs to bring

1. The oath letter
2. Permanent card
3. Reentry Permit or Refugee Travel document
4. Any immigration documents you may have
5. If the naturalization application is on behalf of your child, bring your children

She is not clear about Item 4 and Item 5.

what does "any immigration documents that you may have" mean: I485, I140, and related notice of these applications or what else?

She applied for herself but put her child's name in somewhere of the N-400, also, she wants her 8 year son to become US citizenship. From the above item 5, does she really need to bring her son to the oath ceremony? if she brings, her son will become US citizenship as well?

Her English is not good enough to make research to these questions and please help.

Thank you all for your help.

They just need any document issued by USCIS/BCIS/INS back. If she does not have any document listed in item 4 & 5, no need to worry. She must bring her green card and oath letter with her.

Her son will become citizen on the same day. It is not required to bring your kids to ceremony. However they are welcome to come to the ceremony.

Congratulations to her and good luck to you. Happy New Year to all.

I think #5 means, if you are applying for US citizenship for your kids, if they are not of age to do it themselves, they need to come to the interview as well.
