Questions on my I485 status

I filed I140/I485 (NIW) in December 2004. After that, I did not hear anything until December 15, 2005 when VSC informed my lawyer that my file was misplaced and promised to start looking at my case. On December 27, 2005, I received FP notice to do FP on January 4, 2006. On January 10, 2006, VSC approved my I140. After that, my online I485 case status is still the same message as in December 2004 saying my I485 application was received. It dose not mention if my FP data in January 2006 has been received. I do not receive notice for more FP, and I do not know how my name check is going.

My questions:

1.Why VSC does not update my online I485 case status after my FP was done.

2. How can I find the satus of my name check.

I too am stuck in a similar situation. After my FP, the message is the same that reads that application was received, it takes 850 to 900 days etc etc. I called FBI at 304-625-5590 or at 304-625-2406 and asked them if they have done the security check. You too could do the same. Keep your A# ready at hand when you call FBI. If the security check is done, then you can breathe a sigh of relief. It is waiting game from then on.
