Guys this is my first time here and I am glad to find this place. I have some really general questions and hope anyone of you can answer those for me.
1) Mother applied for Asylum that included me and 2 other siblings, got approved in August 1999.
2) All 4 Applied for I485 together and received separate receipts with same date of Sep 5th and notice date of Sep 19th.
3) All 4 of us got letter to get fingerprinting done on July 17th which we all did.
4) Now it seems like Nebraska center is working on applications from April of 2000. Should I expect my turn to come this year? I was not sure on what the next steps are. I haven’t gotten any requests for medical so I am hoping that they will send me some sort of notification for that.
5) Is there an actual interview for the green card? Is it possible for them to deny the green card for any reason? We all have a clean record and have been paying taxes ever since I got EAD so there is not really anything negative there.
6) Since I don’t have a passport I guess they give you a s a white card? What is that?
Also should we all expect to be approved at the same time with or without an interview since asylum was approved for the 3 children under mother even though now all of us are over 21?
Thanks much.
