I am new here and just starting the paperwork.
I am an F-1 student married to a USC. My wife has had no income.
There is a friend of mine who is willing to be a joint sponsor. My friend is also a grad student, and she makes just over the 125% line for household size 2.
Here are my questions:
1. Will it be risky to have a grad student as a joint sponsor, because the income is less guaranteed than ordinary full-time jobs?
2. The joint sponsor is single, and I am the only intending immigrant. In this case, is her household size considered to be two, regardless of the number of dependents (all USC's) I have?
3. (Assuming the answer for the previous question is Yes) The joint sponsor's income met the requirements only for the past two years. Would you recommend that I still send all three years' tax returns? Or only the most recent one?
