Questions on CP

I'm supposed to get my 140 approval in a week or so. I have choosen AOS and now I'm planning to chnage to CP. Here are my questions.

1. My 140 was filed @ NSC, my employer location is Chicago and I'm working in FL. If I file I-824, where i.e at which service center it is going to be processed..? in NSC or in TEXAS..?

2. Is it goodway to go for CP than AOS..?

CP versus AOS

CP+
- CP takes shorter period of time as compared to AOS. You can be a free bird sooner by 6-8 months..

CP-
- If you are laid off while waiting for CP interview, you are totally screwed (need to start GC again). In case of AOS, you atleast have AC-21 hope..
- In the remote possibility of CP being denied (only reason can be fraud cases - whether genuine or put on your record by mistake), you cannot go back to USA and the appeal process is more painful (well, there is no process as such..)
