Questions in regard to i-485

I live in Virginia, would my i-485 be processed by the Vermont Center?
What is name check?

If you are filing for lawful permanent resident status based on an offer of permanent employment in the United States, you should submit your I-485 to:

USCIS Nebraska Service Center
P.O. Box 87485
Lincoln, NE 68501-7485

As of now TSC (Texas Service Center) is the fastest. My lawyer filed mine and numerous other I485s to Texas and they have accepted the said I485s and have processed them.

So, I would send them directly to TSC even though USCIS specifies that you send them to Nebraska
