Questions for fingureprint, please help! Thanks!

Dear all,
I just got an email from my lawyer that asked me to do fingureprint on July 1. Well, it came so near today and I did not receive my courtesy copy yet (I have updated my address before with AR-11 and CSC, but it seems it still sent to the other place, :-( and lost), so my lawyer will fax a copy to me. Can I use the faxed copy to do fingureprint? Meanwhile, what else documents I need to take when taking fingureprint. I will do it in San Diego.

I think you can not use the faxed copy. I went for 2nd fp last month, they scan the bar code on the fp notice, and all your name, SSN, address poped out. So, you have to get your original copy.

Do you think barcode from fax copy is unscannable? I know some guys in this forum who got FP with their fax copy or photocopies. Now, it's possible some ASC won't allow with fax copy/photocopy (depends on the officer and USCIS is very good in inconsistency). That's why it's better to obtain the original notice from lawyer. However, if lawyer does not co-operate or careless, it's better to go with fax copy.
