Questions for Approved folks

Seems like RFE are commonly for paystubs, W2, tax return, letter employment and marriage certificate. My questions are:

1. are these documents part of 485 application?
2. are there people who got approvals without RFE but did not submit these documents; or, partially submitted documents (such as W2 + letter employment only) ?
3. From Murthy web site, she mentioned that GC is for future job. However, why INS asked for current paystubs, W2, tax return?

Your insights are appreciated. Thanks.

To my knowledge,

1. These documents are not part of the I-485 application
2. Yes, there are people who have got approved without ever having to submit these documents
3. Yes, Murthy is right. But who is going to bell the INS? Trying to look at it from their viewpoint, AOS cases are a bit different than trying to get GC from outside. Since you have already been working they want to make sure that your records are OK (which is why W2, Paystubs, Employment letter etc.). Even though GC is for a future job, failure to produce these documents usually indicates that something is wrong with the case or the applicant. All the above is my speculation, not to be construed as expert advice.

it won\'t do any harm...

my attorney had me provide everything you mentioned there (W2, paystub, taxreturn,... ) plus more. I\'m not sure would this really help, but it certainly won\'t hurt. My I485 is just filed yesterday after nearly two month document collecting.
