I have some questions about RFE and I am sure the experts on this site will be able to answer.

1. Normally what are RFEs issued for?
2. Does a copy of the RFE come to the candidate applying for AOS or does it exclusively go to the attorney?
3. What is the average time frame, based on previous data, to get an approval after RFE has been answered?

----Employment letter, pay stubs of past 2 months, w2\'s of past couple of years, illegible forms, etc
2. Does a copy of the RFE come to the candidate applying for AOS or does it exclusively go to the attorney?

CMS:

Could you please let me know after submitting RFEs, how much time it will take to get approval of I-485. I was told this morning by an IIO
that to get the mail (it will take approx 2-3 weeks) then 2-3 weeks to assign to an officer. Is the the case???

It has taken 1 day to 3 weeks for i485 approval after receipt at INS.

as per recent approvals in our company.
