Questions about N400 filing

Does the N400 form have to be filled out by hand ? Is it ok to fill out the PDF form on computer and print it out and mail it to USCIS ?

Also when you fill out the PDF on your computer, I have noticed that part 9B. where you enter Full name of son/daughter, if you have a longer name it does not rollover to the next line, instead it scrolls horizontally and displays a '+' sign on bottom right hand side of the box. Is that a problem ?

And finallym does the form have to be printed back to back as the original N-400 form ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I filed PDF form. It says on the instruction sheet "type in CAPS or print"
