Questions about I-485 and I-765

Hello, I'd like to ask for help regarding fiilling out Form I-485 and Form I-765.

Questions on I-485:
1. I received a Labor Certification a few months agoand yet, I didn’t proceed as I quitted my work. On the form I-485, it asks whether I have applied for US permanent residency? Since I did not proceed with the labor certification, my understanding is that I have not applied for US PR. Is this correct?
2. I apologize if these next questions are silly. but I am wondering when the INS asks on I-485 whether I have gone through with “Immigration Proceedings,” does the INS mean to ask whether have I applied for US PR?
3. To answer the question “Were you inspected by an Immigration officer?” My understanding is that if I had entered the US legally, it means that I have been inspected by immigration officer. Is this correct?

Question on I-765:
When I was still in school, I was granted 3 EADs (Optional Practical Training and Special Student Relief). So now, as I am applying for my I-765, on the form, do I check “Permission to accept employment” or “Renewal of my permission to accept employment?”

No. It means have you asked to leave the country before...

You are correct.
Question on I-765:

You have to select “Permission to accept employment” since you are asking EAD under different category.
