my co worker husband is applying for naturalization in the next few months,
can he apply based on 4 years and 9 months, and what type of documents need to provide with the application beside tax returns,
i will appreciate your responds

First, it's not 4 years and 9 months, it's 5 years minus 90 days, which is a bit different.

Read the N-400 instructions and the Guide to Naturalization for information on what to include. He doesn't need to send tax returns or transcripts with the application, but it is advisable to bring them to the interview just in case (but most people aren't asked for them).

If he's married, he should carry his marriage certificate to the interview (I don't think that is mentioned in the instructions).
