Questions about Food stamps program?

I already have my conditional green card approved and have the card in hand, got it this month. I've been married for 2 years already. The wife and I both work, but we send money back home to our parents, we both work part time so we don't make enough and qualify for the food stamp program (Illinois Link card). I wanted to know if my wife applied for the food stamp program for illinois, would this affect anything for us in the future for non-conditional green card or
citizenship wise for me? Both our incomes added together, and deducting rent for our home, we are eligible for the SNAP program offered by the illinois state.

Should we apply for it? Or would it affect us too much in the future? Or could we cancel the program before applying for the non conditional green card or citizenship and remain unaffected?

Thank you.

Jackolantern please help out if you can!

My wife applied for the food stamps program under her name, but since we are married, and we live in the same household it also asked for my social security number and information, as it requests information for anyone living in the household.

Would this affect any chances of citizenship or anything in the future for me?

So she earns enough to meet the I-864 requirements in order to get your green card approved, but her income is still low enough to qualify for food stamps? Did her income drop since applying for the green card?
