Questions about AP

Hi ,

I am on EAD right now, and haven't taken AP as of yet. Since I live in the Boston area, I assume that all I have to do is go to the Boston INS office and get the AP the very same day. The question I had was, since I might have to go for a medical emergency, but don't know as to when I might have to fly ( i.e. it could be this month , next month or maybe even after a couple of months or more depending on the circumstances..), is there any way you can apply for the AP and leave the dates of departure open ended, in which case I can use the AP to travel whenever I want to, instead of using it to travel only in a specific time period ???

Thanks..

when you apply for an AP , you do not have to specify when you are going to travel. All you say is you want a multiple entry AP. When the AP gets approved, beginning which ever date it is, it will be valid for a year from that date . If you do not use it in that period and towards the end you think you might want to use it later, then you got to apply for an AP renewal.
