My present passport is going to expire in July 2008 and my EAD is going to expire on April 2008, If I renew my EAD in Jan2008 will they look at my passport expiry and decline renewal ?

Or should I first renew my passport and than renew EAD?


Please let me know your views.

Passport front page is not rerquired for EAD renewal, also the 765 form does not ask for any passport details. So you should be fine. But to be on the safe side no harm in renewing passport at Indian embassy.

that should not be a problem...

No need for passport information in 765 application, hence for EAD...


For renewing passport, dont wait till last minute... ..

My case was transfered to texas orignally filed in Vermont, where should I file and send my supporting documents Texas or vermont?

Passport biographical pages are required to establish identity.
So those should be sent.Expiry however has no impact.
 
EAD online

I just completed mhy EAD and AP application online, I got the receipts numbers, I was trying to check the status online and got the following message, any clues?

Case Status Retrieval Failed

This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
