My wife's a USC. She plans to quit her job in the near future. She has shown her job to be the source of support for her I-130 ( i.e her source of income for the I-485 affidavit). Our receipt date for I-485 is Aug/06. Is it a problem if she quits her job or can she quit her job after the processing starts, coz we expect our interview in a couple of months. Anyways I work too and wont be a public charge. Any help is higly appreciated. Thank u all.

You mean your wife will quit sometime before the adjustment interview. Will she be looking into getting another job as soon as she quits? If she is not working during the time you are interviewed, but she is looking into finding a job, she can say so, if the officer asks you? Or do you have someone else as co-sponsor? It may not be a bad idea to have someone else lined up as co-sponsor. I remember reading a post, where the sponsor lost a job few days before the interview and they needed to produce a co-sponsor (please remember a co-sponsor has to be US citizen or PR)..May be you can look for that post for more help..
