Question to all: Anyone had their FP taken non-electronically?

Has anyone on this forum had their fingerprints taken non-electronically? I would assume most people here have had their fingerprints done electronically, but I've heard it mentioned that "ink and paper" fingerprints can be also be taken, and those usually take longer to transfer to BCIS.

If so, which city are you in?
 
My finger prints was taken on paper in NC

BCIS updated my finger prints information in 1 week
 
I have done my FP manually (Paper and Ink) in NJ. It took 12 days for them to update in their online status. At the same time, my wife did her FP electronically and they updated online status after 5 days.
