Question regarding USCIS canceling the wrong Oath Ceremony.

(I hope I'm posting in the right place!)

Back in mid or late October I received my Oath Ceremony appointment, tried to get that day off from work but I couldn't so I had to reschedule. I wrote on the letter asking for a reschedule and my reason. The Oath Ceremony was on a Monday of early November (the 2nd or 9th).

Just a week ago, I received a new letter with a new Oath Ceremony date, Wednesday December 16th (tomorrow!). I was finally able to get a day off from work to attend this. HOWEVER, today when I got home, my mom told me another letter from USCIS came, and for some reason it said it canceled my Oath Ceremony for reschedule on my request... can someone explain to me what happened? why? how? Now I don't know what to do, can I still show up and just explain the situation, maybe they'll still let me attend it?

What I think MIGHT have happened is probably the rescheduling team saw that I requested a reschedule AFTER my new appointment date has been set so they thought I wanted to reschedule that [new] one... but I wrote on the darn letter that had my old appointment date... I seriously don't get it. I'm still gonna show up tomorrow and see what happens but if anyone can quickly/briefly explain to me how this could have happened, and if there are anything I should do before tomorrow... :\

Yes, I showed up at the Oath Ceremony.
What happened apparently was they made a mistake. After waiting an hour in line to get in, I tried to sign in but my name was not on the sign-in sheet. The people then called USCIS office to ask what's going on, apparently my papers weren't ready, so the letter they sent me was "correct", that the ceremony was canceled for me. They said I will receive another mail later this month or early of next month, for the next Oath Ceremony which (hopefully) have my papers.

I just wish they actually took some time to explain this to me on the letter they sent me, and not say "it's been canceled to my request". I wasted so much time because they decided to keep it vague and "cancel to my request", like hell it's to my request.

Well I think they canceled it due to your request, they will send another later on don't worry

Good luck brother

Yea, they said they will send another one telling me the correct location and time. But no, they did not cancel it "due to my request", because I did not request it to be canceled.
