Question regarding Travel with AP

Hi,

I am going on a short trip to India. My company is asking me to switch from H1 to EAD before I leave for India. I have a valid AP.

My name was misspelt on my EAD. And I sent EAD to VSC. I did not get the corrected EAD yet. As I completed 180 days after I-485 RD, my company lawyer is asking me to start on EAD on the logic that VSC is correcting one error commited by them , not revoking the approved EAD.

My question: At Port Of Entry whether EAD is a necessary document alongwith AP -OR- AP with valid passport is sufficient for reentering into the USA ?
 
if you have a valid H1 stamped, just show that and the 485 rcpt

you need AP only when travelling on EAD. If you use your EAD to enter then you are no longer in a H1 status, you are deemed to be in EAD status.
 
But my company forcing me to switch to EAD before I leave ..

Will it hamper ...even if I am on EAD ... get my passport stamped ?

If I get H1 stamped even if I am on EAD, will it screw up GC process ?
