I finally discovered that i could check my case on line. However i have a few questions. The site states that they received my I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION on July 18th 2007 and its pending. I then went to Processing Dates for Applications and Petitions link for Chicago IL and it states it should take 11 wks.
Is this 11 weeks from July 18th 2007 OR 11 weeks from my August 17th 2007 Biometrics appointment?
I'm currently on a H1B but I'm just curious as to how to read these time lines?
Also since i dont have a birth certificate (long story short i was a refugee in 1979, we lost it at sea, the original hospital burnt down during the war) but supplied as much documentation as possible..i have a valid Australian passport and am an Australian citizen...USCIS requested MORE info....will this effect my work permit processing time?
