Question regarding the forms to be sent to Kentucky

Dear all,
I have won the DV-2011 lottery. I am brazilian, however my wife is Swiss and we have been living in Switzerland for the past few years.
My case number is: EU000057xx. I guess this is quite low. Now, the thing is that we will travel as of the beginning of July until september to central america and the US (on a B-2 tourist visa) for vacation. I am kinda worried that if I send the completed forms to Kentucky now that I might already get an interview in october (since my number is so low). Don't get me wrong, of course this would be good news, however I am not sure once we're back from our trip, if I can manage to get all the paper work, medical certificates etc. for me and my wife ready in time.
So do you think that if I wait and send the forms to Kentucky let's say in August, might I get the interview around november/december for example?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
magus

magus, if I'm not mistaken I believe that you have until June 2011 to submit your forms to KCC. Seeing that your case number is low, you most likely will not be disadvantaged by sending the forms in August or even September. My advice to someone in your situation however would be to gather whatever documents that you can now while you wait, apply for the Police certs (you can do this from now) and just leave the medical for when you receive the second NL (which usually is about 6 weeks before the interview). If you can't do all this before you go on vacation then you will need to delay sending your forms to KCC or asking for a later interview.

dear sonibago,
many thanks for your quick reply. I know that to get the police cert it only takes about a week here. I think we will fill out all the forms now and ask my wife's parents to send it to KCC early August. This way I assume it should be ok and also to get the medical check done in time.
Thanks again,
magus
