Hello everyone.


How long it will take for FOIA to receive when you’re applying G- 639?
Because a got couple months before I apply my citizenship N-400 I want to have my record and I’m sorry if this issue have been discuss before.

What kind of record are you looking for? If you request your whole A-file it's going to take a couple of years. Yes, it is not a typo 2 years. :eek: :mad:

Thanks for your respond.Yes I was asked about my whole A-file. I taught it was taking couple months but 2 years forget.
 
Definitely more than a year, and most likely two years. Things can change if they speed up things, but currently it takes close to two years. I've been waiting myself for around seven months and I am still not in the bottom half of pending cases. However, I am not in a hurry.
 
To correct the record, it looked like it was going to take two years and it took slightly less than one year.
 
Thanks. I understood you had made your choice not to do the FOIA request, just wanted to correct my estimate of two years in case someone stumbled upon this thread.
