Hello everyone - I have been browsing these boards for a few days now and I am impressed by the helpful people and the amount of knowledge that is available.
I have a few very important questions - and I would be VERY grateful if someone could clarify these issues for me.
I currently have an NIW I140 pending with INS. In the I140 I had indicated that I would seek CP through the U.S. Consulate in Pakistan.
I recently learnt however, that I might be eligible to pursue CP in Montreal. My wife is a Canadian Citizen and will be applying for GC with me. Can someone please confirm whether I can apply for CP in Montreal instead of Islamabad simply because my wife is a Canadian citizen??
Also, if I am eligible to proceed with CP through Montreal - HOW will I get NVC to change my CP station. Will they not automatically begin to process for Islamabad as that is what is mentioned in my I140 application. Is there a form I can send them requesting a change of CP location, or will I simply have to keep calling them and request them to change location.
Thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate any input you guys could give.
Thanks.
