Question Regarding Passport stamping?

Our I-485 says we need to to to LA office at downtown LA for stamping.
Can we go to WestMinister Office and get the stamping done?

Yes, you can, and many people have done that to avoid gettting up in
the middle of the night (in this kind of cold weather!) Check out
the stamping articles on CSC tracking website.

Thanks Ciba for your great work and response again regarding
passport stamping. It just makes sense to go to Local INS
offices to get the passport stamped if it is done there.
You just have to make sure it is open that day and they
do this business there. You do not have to travel far, and
you do not have to go and stand in the line in the middle
of the night.

This morning we went to Westminister Office by 6:50 a.m. There
were around 75 people ahead of us. We got a number by 7:40 a.m.
We were done by 8:50 a.m. INS officials were very courteous
and nice.

I think this discussion group and services offered by the
volunteers are the best thing that has happened for people
in the queue.

Does the VAN NUYS INS office do passport stamping ?? I stay at Burbank so Westminister would be far for me and LA downtown is 12 miles from my place but i want to avoid it..
