Question Regarding OCI App

Hi Friends,
I am preparing application for my family for OCI (Me, Wife, 2 Kids). Couple of questions.

1) Can I attest the photocopies for kids ?

2) BLS is saying for kids application you need to notarize parents signature..I am assuming this is for Part B..right? Part A is only one page and it doesn't have parents signature.

Until a couple of months ago attestation was not required on photocopies - direct info from consulate.

Parents' signature notarization is also some new game in the bag that BLS is playing!
