Hi!,

I have a question regarding L2 visa. Currently I came here in March ,2002 on L1 visa. My wife and my kid came here in june'2002 on L2 visa. Our visas expired in March' 2003.But our I94's are valid till May'2005.My wife wants to go to India and she is planning to come back after 2 months. She is planning to travel in next month. Here is my question:

As my wife's visa got expired if she goes to India will there be any problem in getting the L2 visa??If not, what are the documents that she needs to carry along with her for stamping?

Thanks,
Sai.

L1/L2 visa's are issued for 1 year only due to reciprocity rules, however you can stay in the US as long as the I-94 stamping indicates. If you wish to travel overseas then, you better get your visa revalidated either from US State Department or apply for one at the local consulate as you travel out. If you do it at the State Dept then it takes between 5-8 weeks (depends) but it might be faster to revalidate your visa at the local consulate.

Thanks for your reply...

Hi!,

Thanks for your reply...
Does my wife still needs to revalidate the visa even if I am staying here in us ??

Thanks,
Sai.
