Question regarding interview date/process

Experts,

My AC-140 case is now created (July/01) and the consulate says "interview will be scheduled in 4-6 weeks". This is per telephonic conversation and we have received no communication from the consulate yet.

My questions are:

1. When should I expect an interview - in Aug. or Sept. ? Also, does the phrase "interview will be scheduled in 4-6 weeks" mean the actual interview will happen in 4-6 weeks or it's just the scheduling (i.e., actual interview could be much later).

2. What should I expect to receive from the consulate at this point, and what kind of information it is expected to have.

Many thanks for your help!

{ Probable chances of getting in august is less and more in sept, but keep chasing on it. It will be the actual interview. So get ready with the documents
any time you should be ready to travel }

2. What should I expect to receive from the consulate at this point, and what kind of information it is expected to have.

{P4, your appointment letter and the instructions for your medical,photos and all the documents needed for your interview and also your DS-230 forms }

Many thanks for your help!

Thanks

I'll start collecting the documents.

Would it be acceptable if the notarized letter of employment is 2-3 month old
at the interview ?

Thank you.

the consulates normally say within 6 mos. , but it is highly recommeded to be as close to the interview date as possible.
