Hi all,
I am planning to submit I-539 application for Extension of
Visitor B2 visa stay for my mother at California Service
Center. I am thinking to submit the application electronically(E-file).
Did anyone of you file I-539 application electronically ?
How safe is this e-file ? What is the process to e-file ?
Is the processing of E-file application is faster than the application
that is sent by regular mail ? Do you send the original I-94
to California Service Center ?

Thanks,
Binny

I filed electronically on Apr 07. My parents visa expired on May 12th and I am still waiting for them to process the application. The good thing abt filing eletronically is u'll get a WAC # right away and u can use that to check status (which I am doing every day now). I sent a copy of I-94.

BTW, you have to send the supporting documents by mail. I did that a couple of days after I e-filed.

Hi Karthik,
I read I-539 instruction and it says that the B1/B2 visa
applicant who are applying for extension should send their
original I-94. Did you notice that ? I am thinking to send
the original. Do you know whether there is any risk if someone
do not send the original I-94 ?

THanks,
Binny

Hi Karthik,
Thanks a lot for all your advise. I have a question for you.
My mother has 10 year multiple entry B2 visa. Did you
send the copy of the 10 year multiple entry B2 visa with the
application ?

I am applying this week and only 3 weeks left for the I-94
expiry. I hope this will not be a problem.

Do you know how good is California Service Center in approving
the application ? How is the denial rate ?

Thanks,
Binny

Check this out ....
http://www.path2usa.com/immigration/visitorvisa/ext_visitor_visa.htm

Copy of I94 of each applicant. ( Do not send the Original I94)

Binny:

I sent a copy of my parents PP which had their 10 year multiple entry visa.

About applying time, I think you have to file the extension just before the expiry of I-94.

I am also looking for success/denial exp. at CSC. A couple of years ago they were rejecting a lot. Now I don't have any information at all.
