My situation might be pretty different from the general.
I am in india, earning indian salary with a indian designation at the local branch of the same company (that has applied for my GC).
My lawyers (from NY) have sent me the DS230 filled with the present occupation showing my Indian designation. But then, my appointment letter says \'...is being offered the post of ... with salary $...\' which both match the LC terms and figure.
If your appointment letter says you \'will be offered\' the job after GC, then it can be different. but if it somehow indicates you are already in that job and it will be a continuation, then you have to be careful.
