Question regarding CP process

Hello: I just had a general novice question about the CP process.

I am pursuing CP through Islamabad and just sent back my DS230-I forms to NVC today (Thanks again to Raju for his excellent help).

What I wanted to know was the following:

1. I understand that NVC will process and review the case and then forward to Islamabad. Islamabad is then supposed to send me P4. What exactly is P4?

2. Do I have to send P4 back to Islamabad before I get the interview date - or is Interview appointment send alongwith the P4 from Islamabad?

{ Packet 4 consists of ( speaking from Chennai consulate
experience ) Interview appointment letter, Blank form for
Medical Tests ( which you have to fill and carry to the lab
and the physician ), General Instructions regarding the
interview process, and blank DS 230 Part II forms.

You will get this packet to the address you have provided
in DS 230 Part I. You also have the option of having it
mailed to an address in Islamabad . For this you have
contact the consulate in Islamabad and intimate such
address }

2. Do I have to send P4 back to Islamabad before I get the interview date - or is Interview appointment send alongwith the P4 from Islamabad?

{ YOu do not have to mail back anything after the Packet 3.
Packet 4 including the interview letter is for your information
and to carry to the interview }
