My wife and I got GC on Nov 2003 but never applied for citizenship. Taken several 4 weeks vacation till 2009. But had to take a trip to India in 2009 due to personal emergency, taken re-entry permit.
Due to the circumstances had stayed there from Mar 2009 until Sep 2011 (almost 2 and half years), over stayed beyond re-entry permit validity.
Broken continuous residency but luckily got SB-1 visa and re-entered US on Oct 1st,2011 and staying in US since then. Not taken any trip more than 5 weeks outside US after that. It's 4 years and 21 days as of now, on renewed GC. So when are we eligible to apply for citizenship (4 years 1 day or need to complete 5 years)? Thanks in advance for replies.
